A Modern Coffee Table For Your Living Room

12 Jan, 2022

A coffee table is a necessity for any living room. It’s where your guests will congregate, and where you’ll enjoy relaxing after a long day. But it can be difficult to find one that fits the decor and has plenty of functional storage space. This modern coffee table adds some flair to your living room while also providing ample storage space for magazines, books and other items. With so many options out there, how do you know which one is right for you?

A coffee table is more than just a table

We’re living in a time when the coffee table is no longer just a piece of furniture in your living room. It has become an important part of our interiors, and we have started to appreciate them not only for their functionality but also for their aesthetic value.

Today’s coffee tables serve as multifunctional furniture. They are used to store magazines or extra books, or even to place items on it. Some people use them as food tables, others use them as work tables, and some use them to put their laptops on. However, whatever the case may be, coffee table is an important piece of furniture that can make or break the look of your living room.

What makes this coffee table unique

The coffee table is made of solid sustainably harvested cherry wood and handmade leather straps, using a unique and intricate wooden weaving technique.

The design of the coffee table incorporates the three basic archetypal shapes: a pyramid-like top, a yin yang like body, and an eight-sided base. The top is hand carved from the solid wood to create a pattern of two intertwining spirals that are reminiscent of wood grain. The legs are made from eight pieces of wood put together in a way that creates an interlocking pattern when viewed from above.

The coffee table has been designed with the aim of creating a visually light piece of furniture that can be used in any room.

Why is a coffee table important

Enhance your seating arrangement

Singapore’s living rooms feature a variety of seating styles, ranging from stately leather sofas to modern armchairs. A good coffee table should provide enough legroom for you to sit comfortably for long periods of time, while also being of sufficient height to prevent you from constantly bending too low to reach for drinks or items on your coffee table.

Serve a variety of practical purposes

The primary function of a coffee table in your living room is to serve a variety of functions, from storage to displaying showpieces. Some coffee table designs are more practical, with multiple storage drawers for TV remotes, drink coasters, or magazines. Others may be more minimalist living room, with a single storage space and classier designs to display art sculptures, green succulents, or personal handicrafts.

Show your style

Aside from storing and displaying items, coffee tables also allow you to express yourself and your style. Coffee tables come in a wide range of designs and styles to suit the needs of younger Singaporean couples who value aesthetics. They are made of marble, granite, and metal, can be round, or even asymmetrical in shape, and come in a variety of sizes to fit a variety spaces of living room.

How to choose the right coffee table

Material

Coffee tables come in a variety of materials and finishes, including wood, metal, and even marble. A marble coffee table is visually appealing but difficult to maintain. A stone table can be quite sturdy, but good luck lugging it around the room! Wood is a classic material for any table, but it does retain water stains and is easily dented and scratched. Glass is both light and fragile. Metal is relatively simple to maintain, but it can have a cold and sterile appearance.

Size

It’s critical to match the size of your coffee table to the size of your living room. A large coffee table should not be crammed into a small living room, especially if the room is dark. A tiny coffee table in an open concept living room, on the other hand, will look awkward and empty and should be replaced with a larger one. For a unified look, try to match the size of the tabletop to the size of the seating area. The table should be about two-thirds the length of the couch.

It’s all in the details is a very important saying that applies to modern coffee tables. The problem is that most people buy their coffee table and end up with an ordinary or boring design. There is no ‘wow’ factor and they can be pretty expensive too if you want one with a designer finish.
